At Viking Middle School, students are recognized every Friday afternoon during Team Meetings. Students are recognized with the following awards:
Student of the Month:
*Every team at Viking School nominates TWO students of the month at the end of each month throughout the school year
*Students are selected by teachers who had previously been selected as students of the week
*Students are recognized by school administration with their picture taken and displayed in the V.I.P. display case at Viking School
*Student receive the opportunity to participate in end of the semester reward day field trips for their nomination
Student of the Week:
*Every staff member has the opportunity to nominate one student of the week
*Students receive a student of the week certificate and Viking Voucher to use at the school store or monthly raffle
*Families receive a student of the week letter in the mail from the staff member
Viking Helmets:
*Students have the opportunity to earn Viking Helmets for demonstrating the four Viking Expectations (Be Respectful, Be Safe, Be Productive and Be Responsible)
100% Club:
*Students are recognized for completing all of their homework assignments on time in every class.
*Students are recognized twice a quarter (Midterm and End of Quarter)
*Students will receive a NO HOMEWORK PASS that can be used in any class (students must ask teacher permission before using homework pass)
